Miguel Baptista

Miguel Baptista is Board Member, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Agricultural Officer of Sugal Group, with responsibility for the Group’s financial activities and agricultural operations across Portugal, Spain and Chile. His role brings together financial expertise and agricultural performance, with a strong focus on competitiveness, efficiency and long-term value creation.

Miguel joined Sugal in 2021, after a 20-year career in corporate finance. Since joining the Group, he has played an active role in its financial and strategic development while leading the transformation of its agricultural operations, with a particular focus on productivity, resource efficiency, technology and data-driven decision-making.

Before joining Sugal, Miguel was a Partner at NOVE Corporate Finance, having previously worked at Millennium bcp and Banco Mello de Investimentos. He holds a degree in Economics and a Master in Finance from Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and completed the CFO Programme at Harvard Business School.
